Our inner Fool urges us on to life, where the thinking mind might be over cautious. What seems like a precipice from afar may prove to be only a small gulley when approached with the Fool’s gusto. His energy sweeps everything before him, carrying others along like leaves 🍃 in a fresh wind. Without the Fool’s energy all of us would be mere pasteboard....
The Fool is numbered zero, a fact worthy of our attention, for the number under which a card was “born” sheds light on its character and destiny.
The concept of zero, unknown in the ancient world, did not appear in Europe until the twelfth century. The discovery of this apparent “nothing” enlarged man’s thinking in important ways. Practically, it created the decimal system, and philosophically it concretized the astounding paradox that “nothing” is really something, and that this nothing occupies space and contains power. The Fool, true to form, had no value of itself, but augmented that of any card with which it was combined. Like the empty, worthless zero, The Fool’s magic can turn one into 🪄♾️ 🌠.
Perhaps if we welcome the Fool into our world, he will teach us to fly and will offer us similar safe-conduct trips to his world, provided of course that we help him tidy it up a bit. Obviously he needs our ordered intellect in his Never-Never Land as much as we need his vitality and creativity in our Ever-Ever Land. 🪶
Both psychologically and physically we create the world we see. Everything in it comes from nothing at our birth and will return to nothing at our death. This nothing is outside time & space. It is pure nature, the essence behind the veil. ⭕️
