Finally scanning my first roll of #harmon #phoenix200, shot over two trips in the bush this summer. Probably not the best option for detailed landscapes, thanks to the chunky grain and limited latitude. But it definitely has a vintage vibe reminiscent of old bushwalking photos from the 1960s which isn’t without appeal. DSLR scanning is the way to go, the initial scans from my lab looked absolutely terrible. Interestingly you can get very usable results from simply white balancing and inverting the negatives (Phoenix has a purple-clear base) though Negative Lab Pro helps balance out the blueish cast.
