Callington Mill Distillary was a great place for a stop to wander, stretch our legs, and enjoy yet another piece of Tasmania's history in the town of Oatlands. The windmill was built in 1837 in an attempt to develop the Oatlands community. The mill produced flour and on the side, an illegal distillery was set up. Today, @callington_mill_distillery grounds and buildings can be enjoyed by visitors, as well as their restaurant and gin and whisky distillery. Next door is a huge playground, picnic area and camping area.
