While hawks and eagles draw a lot of attention, the less glamorous critters have important roles to play too. This is a turkey vulture I caught in a lucky snap - my camera was already set up to catch the tree branches against the sky when it started circling overhead.
The eclipse earlier this week was stunning, and drew attention to the natural world in dramatic fashion. There are wondrous things happening every minute of every day, but often going unnoticed. You don't have to wait another 20+ years to be moved by nature, you've just got to get out there and observe the world.
