The Sindh government has declared a public holiday in Karachi on April 23 due to the visit of Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi. The holiday aims to prevent inconvenience to the public during the visit, which lasts from April 22 to April 24.
The Iranian president will be accompanied by a delegation, including his spouse, the foreign minister, and members of the cabinet.
The holiday applies to all government and private offices, as well as educational institutions, except for essential services and emergency duties. This is the second public holiday declared by the Sindh government this month.
