This Australian YA novel is a ripper! A notable for the the CBCA Book of the Year (Older Readers), it's one that should become a staple in libraries for teens.
Eleanor Jones is new in town and new at school but she's used to that. Her mum is a wanderer and ergo, so is Eleanor. In the places they've lived before her strategy for coping was to project invisibility, but she's never been under suspicion before.
Forced to get involved and be seen, Eleanor tries to get to the bottom of who really wanted Angus dead. The only thing she knows for sure is that it was not her.
I highly recommend this for fans of Holly Jackson. It's slightly less intense and a bit easier to read than AGGGTM, meaning this could be read by a slightly younger reader. I can't believe it didn't get shortlisted! (I mean, there's a book on the shortlist that I literally threw in the bin, this one is way better!)
