Closing the night with the 45th anniversary of Manhattan, Woody Allen's romantic comedy-drama in which he plays a twice-divorced 42-year-old comedy writer who dates a 17-year-old girl (Mariel Hemingway) but falls in love with his best friend's (Michael Murphy) mistress (Diane Keaton). Yeah, most of what you've read would not fly today and Allen's own history further makes this film uncomfortable in hindsight. It does boasts great performances and sharp writing and that's all I can say.
