Majority of people assume that an artist is merely someone who sells and makes money from their paintings. Most people cannot even imagine being an artist. They perceive art as something unreachable and unrelatable. Well, the same majority also calls all singers, actors and entertainers they see on TV “artists”.
These are not true.
Art is esentially the natural order of whole life. How everything is connected to each other, how all these different life forms exist in harmony, how impeccably chaos and order dance together.
True art requires deep self knowledge before any technique or material if we are to accept ourselves as the existence’s masterpieces. Art is essentially a way of seeing, connecting, sensing, touching and the creative energy is its fuel. The creative energy that is the cause of you, me, and everything else.
Maybe that’s why it’s said that God is the greatest artist. Whomever knows God, knows art.
Archetypically, the mystic is a channel for Nature’s forces, elements, and cycles. There is a direct and intuitive sensing of existence and its unknowns for the mystic. When the senses are translated into creations, art happens.
The artist is a translator who translates highly charged and formless inner experiences into authentically expressed forms.
The form can be anything and everything. It doesn’t matter. But it is naturally intriguing, inspiring, and provocative. It provokes the infinite layers of consciousness and awakens a sense of ‘beyond’. Eventually, something inside the exposed is moved.
This is how we internally recognize art and mystique. They are the octaves of the same energy and they endlessly lead to each other.
