A few photos documenting the restoration of this incredible room. The music room from Norfolk House in Mayfair the London seat of the Duke of Norfolk until it was demolished in 1938. Cut to pieces and rebuilt in the Victoria and Albert Museum this beautiful set piece of 18th century interior design still impresses today. The first photograph was used by artisans to recreate missing musical instruments from the mirrors. The second shows the state of the room before restoration. The third shows new carving inserted next to old.
