Everyone, Meet Kira Willman!
Kira is a Community Education Specialist II at CalFresh Healthy Living UCCE.
Kira shared that although this is her first year on the committee, she truly loves how accessible this event is to our community. “Having a free, fun event that encourages health and wellness for families is such a wonderful opportunity and I love seeing the ways we work to be inclusive and make it a safe and joyful experience for all who choose to participate.”
Kira loves working with so many wonderful folks from local organizations that also prioritize caring for our community and uplifting families.
Kira loves to stay active by getting outside, getting sunshine and fresh air! She loves nature walks, hikes, and bike rides. She also loves to play sports in a completely casual and non-competitive manner. She enjoys getting on the elliptical at the gym and have recently been working on increasing her strength and mobility through basic weightlifting.
Kira eats the rainbow by making one pot meals where all her food groups are in one dish! She loves curry, stir fry and soups. Getting creative and trying out new recipes is something Kira enjoys and considers a hobby!
Thank you so much Kira for all the hard work you put into making Growing Healthy Children Happen! This event is a large event, and many people are needed to make it happen, Kira coordinates/leads all our volunteers for the event! We ❤️our volunteers!
