Churro Update: My belly buddy has arrived! It’s a GIRL! She was born on Earth Day 🌎 4/22/24 at 3:16a. Everyone is happy and healthy! We made it to the end, but not without a little hiccup. 🙃
I went in Sunday for a routine post term ultrasound, I was 8 days late. They told me I had dangerously low amniotic fluid and would need to have an emergency c-section. I was devastated. I cried the whole way to the hospital. We were supposed to deliver at a Birth Center.
Luckily when we got to the hospital, the nurses and Joe advocated for me and they agreed to induce me instead and let me labor. I have had fast labors with my own 2 and they were counting on that happening again. 🤞🏼
Little churro came that morning after 2 hours of active labor, her dads were in the room for delivery and able to cut the cord and take her immediately to do skin to skin. 👨👨👧
What an incredible, wild, beautiful journey it’s been. It all feels surreal! Feeling all the feels. I couldn’t have done this without @jojo_velle and our kids. 👨👩👧👦They were the ultimate support system. There are 2 new parents and a beautiful baby girl in the world now!
