Thanks to each of you who sent me your photo references to practice portraits with! Seriously, I appreciate it! As I primarily use my family in all of my work, I really appreciate the challenge of painting faces I’m less familiar with. Coincidently, it was all artists who kindly shared their photos to paint, so…whew…pressure off…I know they are all going to be understanding of how they came out. Likeness isn’t always important, but in these paintings, I did stretch myself to represent the person in truth. How did I do? Open to any comments to learn from…that’s what this group was all about.
