I was stoked to see @thekills live in London last night. They delivered a really good range of songs from their body of work over the last 20+ years, including from their new album, of course... a compelling mix of old and new, which went down really well with the crowd. Alison Mosshart's voice was as great as ever, and I loved being able to watch Jamie Hince play from a relatively close distance, mainly on his beloved Hofner 176 guitars. It was cool to see him dial in his reverb for songs before kicking off a drum track too. I love what he does. I couldn't see his pedalboard but it sounded like the Boss DD3 is still there for the self-oscillation machine gun effect. The amps I could see were a mix of Magnatone, Selmer and Fender. A great night for rock music lovers with the added bonus of the gig being at the lovely @troxylondon
