Last night was bloody good! So proud of Suzanne and George, what a fantastic show and it’s beautiful to see their years of hard work pay off in the most spectacular of ways. Such an incredible audience and they thoroughly enjoyed every second of our antics. It was an honour to be a part of it! As always @bawdybluessuz and @georgewebsterpianist were amazing, so so funny and an absolute pleasure - but we also had the STUNNING Björn @theeverchangingboy with us which was a delight to say the least. I was stoked to see @thekills live in London last night. They delivered a really good range of songs from their body of work over the last 20+ years, including from their new album, of course... a compelling mix of old and new, which went down really well with the crowd. Alison Mosshart's voice was as great as ever, and I loved being able to watch Jamie Hince play from a relatively close distance, mainly on his beloved Hofner 176 guitars. It was cool to see him dial in his reverb for songs before kicking off a drum track too. I love what he does. I couldn't see his pedalboard but it sounded like the Boss DD3 is still there for the self-oscillation machine gun effect. The amps I could see were a mix of Magnatone, Selmer and Fender. This time last year, I saw @lornamcleansoprano sing Wagner’s Lohengrin in the @barbicancentre for the @guildhallschool Gold Medal competition🏆, and like many in the audience, was completely blown away.
