Are you getting CSHH email updates? Today we sent an email with several links to help keep the community informed about proposed local energy projects that will help New York State achieve its ambitious sustainable energy goals. Because these projects will affect Hempstead Harbor and local communities, CSHH has been involved in meetings with project leaders and continues to advocate for community-wide informational meetings.
New York Transco’s Propel NY Energy project is designed to bolster electric transmission and create clean energy pathways between Long Island and upstate areas. To do this, new transmission cables will be installed underground from different points of Long Island to Glenwood Landing. From there, cables will be routed below Hempstead Harbor and Long Island Sound to New Rochelle.
Please consider attending one of the open houses to learn more about the Propel NY Energy project. Registration for both in-person and virtual meetings is required.
