People often ask “Why become a stylist, Why Color Street”? Well everyone’s why is different…But mine was identity. Not just Mom, Wife, Sister, Daughter.. but Stephanie.

Y’all know I was a young Mom and my “identity” has been encompassed in that word for more than my adult life. When others were figuring out what THEY wanted, I was focused on what choice was best for my kids. Their needs, wants, dreams, etc were always above my own. I didn’t graduate College, I have always worked a “9-5” and that never left a lot of extra $$ for indulgences for me. Every budgeted expensive was for the kids.

Then, just shy of 6 years ago, @nextlevelbeautywithsusan introduced me to some incredible Nail Strips that left me feeling put together, but not selfish for spending $$ on myself. I was hooked..This product was revolutionary in so many ways. But what I didn’t know was this community was made up of people just like me..Those of us seeking Identity’s outside of our self imposed roles..People who dreamed of a bigger life, unapologetically selfish, working towards that life and sharing this incredible product-that made us all feel seen, in one way or another.
For the first time in my life I felt like I was Stephanie..And I still am working out what that looks like, but I know I have the support of like minded people who uplift me, cheer me on, and yes, hold me accountable when I need that too 😉
This community is so much bigger than nails, make up, products..And I wouldn’t trade any moment on it.
