I had an amazing time in San Francisco last week speaking (about some of the ridiculous things we say to moms) to the wonderful moms at @themomco_ by @mops_international @cpcfc . It’s a very special thing the way moms show up and support one another at these groups. 💕
We visited @muirwoods and saw the Redwoods on this trip 😍. What really struck me is the way their roots not only grow down, but also grow outward. We know how important it is that we be deeply rooted in God‘s love AND He created us for relationship with others. The roots that extend out connect with roots from other trees, creating a network of roots that provides strength and support. These trees grow in clusters (the ranger called them families 💕) and even though you can sometimes see them sway in the wind, they are standing strong, firmly rooted.
I shared a message with the moms from my book , Enjoy Every Minute and Other Ridiculous Things We Say to Moms and I’m thrilled they’ve chosen to use it for their summer book club 🤗. I am praying for deep connection with God and each another through the pages of this book. That their roots could grow both down and out, providing strength and support through the storms of life.
Feeling especially grateful for my roots, extending deep and wide. For the love of God that never fails, for the amazing people He’s given me. And for every opportunity I’m given to share His love and grace with moms 💕
