The amount of guys that treat women with respect are… low, especially when it comes to actually coming out of nowhere and trying to talk to them. Dating, getting to know a guy, is life and death for a woman. They take serious risks for the chance to find a partner. They’re not ignoring you because you’re the nice guy, or because they’re shallow, it’s because every man they don’t know (and a lot of the one’s they either do or think they do), is a threat.
I don’t know what he said to make her uncomfortable, or set off her red flags, but I’m glad she’s safe. I’m thankful she didn’t take the risk, and I’m mad that guys like this exist in the first place. In a perfect world, where these guys didn’t feel entitled to whatever woman they thought they’d laid-a-claim on, maybe we could just trust each other to be able to make casual dates, and women could trust guys to take them out, without needing to put their own safety at risk… that’s not this world.
I don’t feel offended, or uncomfortable, that women treat me as an unknown when they meet me. Not anymore, not running this account for so long, and it’s because of things like this. There are a lot of really sick, narcissistic men out there preying on them like it’s a game. That’s my message to you guys.
To any of the women reading, the only thing I have to say is… be safe. I understand how hollow and meaningless those words are, but, they’re like a prayer (in my mind). What I mean to say is, I hope, and pray, you stay safe.
