The boys had an absolutely fabulous birthday party today with our beautiful family. We are so so blessed to have so many people who love our boys 🥰 I did a fairytale theme as the boys are LOVING the old classics at the moment like three little pigs, jack and the beanstalk, Winnie the Pooh etc They so been very spoilt, but well deserved. And I am left feeling very blessed 😇 Dad- @smilecommission I made a cake for each for the boys. I would normally like to put more hand made detail into the decorations but busy mum life means I no longer have that time. To help, I used these cake wraps from @sugarfablesuk (which I have now used for all of their birthday cakes and highly recommend!) I’m back 💛🐾❤️ Last year I had a year out of supply teaching and alongside my Sea Safety I worked with the incredible team and wonderful dogs at @dogstrust_shoreham as a Veterinary Nurse Assistant. When my time came to an end here in February I knew there was absolutely no way I could officially ‘leave’ and as of today I was back talking to this absolute legend - Rob, who manages and looks after all incredible fleet of volunteers for the centre. I could talk to you all day about how wonderful Rob is, think heart of gold but times it by a million and you still wouldn’t reach the top - he is one of the most, kindest, sweetest and generous people you will ever have the pleasure of meeting and I feel incredibly fortunate that I worked with him ❤️ And now I’ll be working with him again 😃 and the whole wonderful team in Shoreham and I cannot wait! The journey of me becoming a Veterinary Nurse Assistant, changed the direction of my life in so many positive ways and I have the wonderful team in Shoreham to thank for that. Studies done over a 10yr period in several American BJJ academies showed that to every 100 students that start BJJ only 11 will still be training after 2years and after 4years only 2 students remain. Of these students, 10% make it to blue belt, and only 5% of blue belts make it to purple. The stats get a bit stronger from this point with 33% of purple belts making brown belt and approximately 75% of Brown belts receiving the Black belt. Of the approximate 3 million people doing BJJ World wide only 8000 are registered black belts. That means less than half a percent of people who do BJJ are black belts. So with a global population of 8.1 billion. 36 days difference. The body is incredible what it is capable of. Ive heard from other moms that you can almost “see the toe growing” during a child’s growth spurts. And they were not lying! We are still waiting for Walkers first in person consultation with the surgeon. It was supposed to be March 19. I got to the airport in Calgary at 5am for our flight to Vancouver, anxiety level 100 in anticipation of what I would learn at our appointment… only to find out my ID was expired and we would not be flying that day. I was an emotional disaster 😅🥲 Allllll those feelings, excitement, fear, unknowns, were abruptly taken away because of my own mistake.
