Little haul from @bathandbodyworks of things that make me happy! Like my post said yesterday… find a way to find a little joy in the things your partner is interested in even if you aren’t. Why? Because it makes a big difference for such a small action. I placed an in-store pickup order and Rizzo went to grab it for me after work… I had chosen the #beer wallflower for HIM because it looked like it was straight out of @thesimpsons and even though he might give an eye roll when I bring up getting some things from this store- he likes picking out candle scents, wallflower scents and even hand soap scents 😆- which is his way of finding some fun in something that isn’t really his cup of tea. He surprised me by picking out the little succulent wallflower because he knew that was something I would love but wouldn’t order for myself because of the price. It’s just about doing little things… seriously! I’ve had these little monsters for a few weeks now. Time flies when you’re actively trying to prevent kittens while simultaneously fostering kittens. 😀 I’ve named them after my favorite refreshing beverages: 🫖Sweet Tea-brown tabby 🍋Lemonade-grey tabby 🧋Cold Brew-calico I met them when working an apartment complex several weeks ago. I told the caregiver I would come back for them and for mama cat when they were ready to wean and get them ready for adoption as well as get mama cat spayed. Poor mama cat has had countless litters and was a main contributor to the number of cats being born to an outdoor life there. She’s now a member of the last litter club and I’m so thrilled for her. Her kittens are relatively healthy, they had minor URI symptoms and intestinal parasites but they’re doing well. Cold Brew has some corneal scarring, which may or may not go away over time, but she can still see and has a proper calico attitude so I’m not worried about her. 😼 Kitten season is in full swing.
