Somewhere for some reason along the way I got lost in why I started a social media account. I don’t know why or when likes and views started mattering so much. Leave your answer in the poll uwu A lot of people have been encouraging to make more amigumuri, some people have suggested I should sell them and that they want one for themselves. Part of me feels weird using a pattern and selling it as my own, as I wasn’t the creator of the pattern. In reality, however, a lot of things are created with a certain pattern as a base. It’s like, why re-invent the wheel? Instead, I should focus on how I can add value to the product instead, something that only I can create. For my second amigumuri I wanted to make the Pinguin from my starter kit. However, I did not like the colors options that were given to me in the starter kit and I didn’t like the dimension’s as much as I liked the frog pattern. This pattern also works with two different yarn at the same time, a step that was harder to master than I had initially had thought. I had to start over a couple of times before I was satisfied with the result and the colors I had chosen. In the end I made this one of the kind Pinguin, as I used thrifted yarn and edited some details. Continuation of goodbye gifts for my coworkers! A long time ago I started making a protein shaker with the Starbucks logo as I had a colleague’s birthday coming up and he only drank protein shakes in his break. I thought it would be funny to have a logo on a protein shaker as this product would be a unique item. Unfortunately I wasn’t able to make it the way I wanted, it looked terrible and I ended up not gifting it. I had intended to try again but never got around it. As the universe wanted me to make this item regardless, I was granted with a new coworker who drinks protein shakes 😂 And I had the opportunity for a do-over. Although, as with the first version, I am not sure if it’s fully functional because of the paint and wash-ability but I tried my best! Putting this one away for now. My latest practice is to work on a painting until it’s almost there, 90% satisfying, and then put it away. In art, as in life, it helps to know thy self. My impetuous nature coupled with my desire to fix everything forces me to overwork paintings into oblivion. Putting them away for a week or a month is the equivalent of taking six deep breaths.

Stumbled upon a new palette I am obsessed with - quinacridone gold, paynes gray and viridian green. But the rumors are true – Quinacridone/Nickel Azo Gold (PY150, PO48) in all GOLDEN acrylic lines has been discontinued due to the unavailability of PO48. What’s a girl to do 😭🤷♀️😩.
