La película se enfoca y celebra el aspecto de los stunts en el cine, la historia siendo una excusa para enseñar todos los tipos de stunts que se hacen. Peleas, vehículos, fuego, caídas, animales, impactos, etc. Algo del personaje Ryan Gosling que me gustó y lo hace único es la forma en que enfrenta los conflictos. *Review* @thefallguymovie Für Colt Seavers gibt es nur Stunts, Stunts, Stunts und Jody Moreno. Doch nach einem schweren Unfall am Set ist es für ihn, als ob er alles verloren hätte. Doch er bekommt nochmal die Chance als Stuntman durchzustarten. Ausgerechnet im Film, der Jody Morenos Regiedebüt werden soll. Doch es steckt noch weit mehr hinter und in diesem Filmprojekt, etwas sehr düsteres und Colt soll hier ausnahmsweise die Hauptrolle spielen… „The Fall Guy“ ist ein Film, der für mich gar nicht mal wegen seiner Handlung oder seiner Besetzung interessant gewesen ist. Auch nicht ob der Tatsache, dass er eine gefeierte 80´s-Serie hochleben lässt. Nein, vielmehr war für mich interessant, wie sehr wird er das Augenmerk auf eine Branche im Film legen, die leider viel zu selten und viel zu wenig Aufmerksamkeit abbekommt: Die Stuntmenschen. Das Stuntbusiness ist beinahe so alt wie der Film selbst und doch finden sie nur selten Anerkennung. Wie viele berühmte Stunt-Artists kennt ihr denn beim Namen? David Leitch war es als Regisseur und mit 18 Jahren Berufserfahrung im Stuntgewerbe durchaus ein Anliegen die Kunst, Mühen aber auch die fehlende Anerkennung dieser Kunstschaffenden hervorzuheben und zu stärken. Gelungen ist ihm das durch das Erzählen einer sehr absurd inszenierten, dramaturgisch dafür leider sehr durchschaubaren Action-Lovestory-„Film im Film“-Mixtur. Gerade durch die großartigen Talente von Ryan Gosling und Emily Blunt wurde der Film inhaltlich getragen. Die Botschaft und die Würdigung des Stuntgewerbe sind in jeder Einstellung spürbar und ich hoffe ganz still und heimlich in mich hinein, dass sich die Anerkennung für dieses Gewerbe spätestens durch diesen Film nachhaltig verändern wird. The Fall Guy is without a doubt a very entertaining movie. I had a really good time watching it. However, I was surprised that it wasn't as strong as it could've been. The movie is for the most part a delight. It's well-directed, well-shot and it has a good soundtrack. It also features great action scenes, fun twists and lots of humorous moments. I liked the nods and jokes about the film industry in particular. The cast is excellent. #emilyblunt and #ryangosling deliver stellar performances. They're both incredibly likable and work great together on screen. #hannahwaddingham and #aarontaylorjohnson also do a really good job. Unfortunately, The Fall Guy never reaches its full potential. Not only does the movie need a while to truly get going, but it's unevenly paced. A lot of sections, particularly the third act feel convoluted and drawn out. The movie could've definitely benefited from a shorter runtime and a script that didn't have as many things going on at the same time. The preceding weeks of life hadn’t been great, so #thefallguy would’ve just had to be passable to do the job, BUT it well and truly passed (see what I did there?) expectations. Truely enjoyable in every way. Being a well known movie nerd (literally, there’s a watch list), film sets and the behind the scenes, the meta nature, the celebration of stunts and action movie and references/jokes about that world, that really got my Wick trembling (what?? Oh come it’s a great pun). Also, it was a great film on its own - great action, direction, cinematography, clever story, well executed satire, Sydney setting and aus support cast, and incredible headline stars Gosling and Blunt - a duo I never thought I’d need but very much do. “The Fall Guy” (2024) is a great, very ideal start to the summer seasons blockbusters that is a very refreshing, quite original, funny and very entertaining film with great acting and chemistry between Ryan Gosling and Emily Blunt. The movie is about a down-and-out stuntman who must find the missing star of his ex-girlfriend’s blockbuster film. Director David Leitch infuses this film with all the necessary ingredients of what’s so enduring about this genre from action, comedy, romance, heroes and villains. The entertainment level he offers with this movie is just crazy, especially the way he and his team weave in their love of stunts into the film as extensions of the characters. And while it is pretty over the top, it doesn’t hide that this was intentional because the movie is also quite self aware of both its own aim and style as a movie within a movie, while it still takes itself quite seriously when need be. The story had quite a few more twists than I was expecting that really sets it apart from only being an effective popcorn movie. Gosling and Blunt make for quite an entertaining and cute pairing in this romp as Colt and Jody, further proving their versatility in any genre, and their chemistry really works at making this movie a part rom com too. Gosling really runs away with the rest of this movie with his usual charm and charisma. I was expecting him to be some bumbling protagonist, but I’m really glad this movie made him embody the ultimate action hero by making him both vulnerable and endearing where you actually care about a happy ending for him. I was also not bored once in its nice little over two hours runtime that is thoroughly engaging with so much entertainment goods as there is to offer here. The Fall Guy is some of the most theater fun I’ve had in a long time with a wonderful balance of showmanship and mechanics in its story about love and collaboration mashed with an aggressive summer thriller. It’s best when it’s capturing that frenzied spirit, and it really is a loving ode to the multiplicity of artisans, especially how it teaches people to appreciate the number of people it takes to pull off convincing derring-do. Overall score: 8.0/10

Neue #Review Kinostart: 30. April Genre: Action/Komödie Länge: 125 Minuten / FSK: 12 Ja schade. @thefallguymovie wird wohl im #Kino insgesamt leider floppen. Dabei finde ich diesen Film an vielen Stellen doch sehr unterhaltsam. Klassisches Popcornkino mit ein paar Abzügen in der B-Note. 🤔 Mit dem Duo Gosling/Blunt hat man so oder so den richtigen Griff gemacht und ein charismatisches Pärchen auf die Leinwand gebracht. 😁 Ich würde Mal behaupten, dass andere Hauptdarsteller weniger Anziehungskraft gehabt hätten. Doch reicht das für einen guten Film heute noch aus? Grundsolide würde ich sagen ja, aber für mehr fehlt dann doch etwas "Außergewöhnliches" was ihn von der Masse abhebt. Nun dachte ich das Thema Hommage an die Stunt-Leute würde da den Ausschlag geben. Nun ja, da war ich wohl zu optimistisch. Dieses Thema wird nur ab und an angekratzt und nicht ausführlich behandelt. Aber immerhin kommt man Mal auch darauf zu sprechen, dass eben jene Riege an Personal eigentlich schon eine eigene Oscar-Kategorie verdient hätte... Das größte Problem stellt der etwas zerfahrene Krimi-Plot dar. Dieser, ausgelöst vom vermeintlich neuen James Bond Aaron Taylor-Johnson, ist zweifellos das schwächste Element an THE FALL GUY. 🤨 Es hätte eigentlich der Film-im-Film total dafür ausgereicht. Der wilde Genremix macht da doch mehr kaputt, als man denkt. Fazit: Unterhaltsames Popcornkino trifft auf weniger gut gelungene Pilot-Elemente. O Dublê, comédia romântica de ação dirigida pelo David Leitch (Atômica, Deadpool 2, Trem-Bala), disponível nos cinemas, sobre um dublê aposentado tentamos reconectar com a ex (q é diretora de cinema) e localizar um amigo desaparecido (q é uma estrela de cinema). O filme mistura 3 gêneros MT bem, usando o elemento do romance pra nos aproximar e nos colocar do lado do protagonista em meio à jornada hilária dele coberta de ação, porradaria e violência, ao ponto q os elementos de comédia deixam o filme no tom certo pro público poder comprar o absurdismo das cenas de ação. A parte do romance foi a q surpreendentemente mais me cativou mais, a química entre o Ryan Gosling e a Emily Blunt é perfeita, toda a interação, linguagem corporal e intensidade emocional de como eles se comunicam revelam uma atração mútua e MTs sentimentos mal resolvidos, o desenvolvimento é ótimo, e quando o filme desenvolve eles através da comédia, fica melhor ainda, fica hilário. As sequências de ação são MT bem dirigidas, cheias de estilo, coreografias MT descoladas e bastante verossímeis, as pancadarias são impactantes, a gnt sente a experiência em artes marciais do protagonista, e tbm as surras q ele leva no meio da luta pq ele ñ é invulnerável, a diversidade de cenas de ação tbm é ñ problema, tem surras, tiroteios, perseguições de carro, batalha dentro de helicóptero em pleno ar. As piadas são MT bem escritas, MT inteligentes, os diálogos são cheios de metalinguagem hilária q conecta os eventos do filme com a produção do filme q os personagens tão gravando, e o filme ainda aproveita p falar sobre a mediocridade profissional dos astros de Hollywood diante do talento da categoria dos dublês e sobre as condições de trabalho desgastantes e pouco recompensadoras dessa categoria. Os vilões são fracos e se entregam a um exagero q jamais diverte nem faz rir; os personagens secundários, embora possuam função na trama, são avulsos, entram, saem e voltam pra história de forma descontrolada, e tem MT pouca personalidade; e algumas sequências de ação mais pelo ato final tem sua existência MT mal justificada, nem todos os exageros do filme se justificam, alguns pudiam ser menos bobos. It’s meta fun with lots of homages and movie references. If you liked Bullet Train’s humor and action (also directed by David Leitch) you’ll like this movie. The film’s use of practical effects *sing* in a Marvel-CGI-uncanny-valley-era. A part of me wishes that the many fight scenes scattered throughout the movie were a little bit shorter just for the sake of my own anxiety, but I can hardly fault a movie that’s an ode to those who don’t get much screen time for featuring them more prominently. - @emilyenabnit . ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A fresh take on action films Go see this movie! Dopo un film italiano deludente e un film tedesco iper intellettuale per riconciliarmi con il cinema ci voleva Ryan Gosling. Per godermi The Fall Guy in inglese sono dovuta andare fino al Barberini, ma ne valeva la pena: il film di David Leitch, in cui Gosling interpreta lo stunt man Colt Seavers, è molto divertente ed è cinema sul cinema, gioco che quando riesce non manca di affascinarmi. All’inizio Colt ha tutto: un lavoro che gli piace e una ragazza che lo fa impazzire, la cameraman Jody (Emily Blunt), ma dopo una caduta rovinosa si ritira dalle scene e si mette a fare il parcheggiatore. Passa un anno e la sua produttrice lo riattira sul set in Australia dicendogli che a volerlo è Jody, ora diventata regista. Lui non ha smesso di pensare a lei, anche se è sparito per non farsi compatire. Jody, che non sapeva dell’iniziativa della produttrice, se lo ritrova sul set, e la scena in cui lo fa bruciare più volte per punirlo di averla abbandonata fa ridere parecchio. La produttrice incarica Colt di andare a cercare Tom Ryder, il protagonista del film, che si è messo nei guai, e da quel momento per lo stunt cominciano una serie di disavventure. Riuscirà a dimostrare a Jody il suo amore, a farle finire il film e a riportare a casa la pelle? Macchine rovesciate, elicotteri, esplosioni, motoscafi: chi più ne ha più ne metta e c’è persino un coordinatore degli stunt man che parla per citazioni cinematografiche.
