What a day! Lorry broken down on the way to show ✅ Managing to make it to show eventually ✅ The amazing people @cotswoldcupevents sorting out a new time ✅ Having to do our first ever 90 as the 80 had finished ✅ Having to learn and ride a different dressage test then planned ✅ Doing gymnastics in the dressage 1/2 way around for some 4s ✅ Hearing the SJ bell and bronking across the ring like a nut job ✅ Finished last in our section ✅ Jumping our first 90 with a smile on my face ✅ Ebony being thrown in the deep end as I planned to start the season of in the 80, and then having to go out and round our first 90 for the first one of the season she was so good! One pole in the SJ and well behaved despite her initial rampage 🤣 my goodness she does love it! To then go and jump so bloody well in the XC - just one stop at a tricky fence that looked like a jump but was a step up and she didn’t understand the question first attempt and then straight back around and over. Perfect in the water. Jumped some jumps I looked at when walking and thought 😳 but what a star! bless her heart she tried for me today. Bentleys first BE90 today, amazing dressage for 29.5 in very sticky ground, then despite jumping like a professional in the photos rolled 2 poles in very Bentley style 🤪 think he needs bigger jumps so he doesn’t just canter along in his own little world, he then went on to jump XC clear in the time. Ebony was super today for two wins 🥇🥇 at her first ever BD affiliated Dressage with very consistent scores of 68.10% and 68.20% 🙌 she did so well after only being back in work for a month after being off since September with first a stud injury she picked up at her last ODE and then getting a never ending abscess. Ready to get out to her first ODE of the season and hoping the next one I’ve got booked in at waverton house with @cotswoldcupevents will be going ahead if the rain ever stops!
