Well, it finally happened! ☹️ . . We booked this hotel through our travel agent as he recommended it for our family! We checked pictures of reviews on #tripadvisor and it looked really nice..so we went for it! . . Fast forward to today....we had a nice short flight to #bangkok and called a #grabtaxi we booked thru our grab app. . . We showed up to our new hotel and walked into our new room..to see it was NOTHING like their website depicted! The A/C didn't work (40 degrees outside) the walls were filthy, they had holes and cracks in them even. The floors hadn't been swept and made our feet black within minutes. There was no tv, no safe to store our valuables..and not even any complimentary water. There wasn't even a fridge in our room, which we soon learned was because the hotel didn't allow outside food or drinks! They also have a 30 baht cover charge per guest if you wanted to eat in their restaurant! The curtain rods were broken and falling off...and the kicker ( swipe right to see) was the ants..not just one or two...like 20-30...and there were these two little ant nests that had ants crawling in and out of them! I expect this from a $20 hostel for a night...but not from a $120 a night hotel for us and 3 kids. Long story short...we complained..and they denied our refund. So we called our travel agent and showed them the pictures! With in an hour our travel agent had apologized for the mess and issued us a full refund for the week! . . So now we're booking a new hotel and checking out of this one in the morning! The travel agent said this hotel is not giving what is advertised, and that breaks their code of conduct that all hotels must abide by! . . Feels good to get the sweat on! Missed yesterday's workout, and although the nutrition program I am doing currently doesn't require exercise, I do feel better when I work out! Today was cardio...not my favorite but does get the blood pumping! I really like MMA style workouts and weight lifting workouts..love to build those fat burning muscles! So excited for the upcoming early release of a 4 day a week lifting and interval training program!!! I think it will be perfect for me as not every day allows for a workout in my schedule...4 days for 30-40 min a day will be awesome especially over busy summer months! And it can be used with the nutrition program I am already doing! Anyone who wants to join me, just ask and I can send you some info !!!
