Redesigna ett kalhygge Det finns glädjeämnen och sorger. Fokuserar på det positiva. Vid kalhygget idag ser jag stor skillnad i grönska och blommor, längsmed kalhyggekanten där jag försökt bygga rishögar som murar/inramning. Kanske har de hjälpt något microklimat en smula? What stresses you out and hinders you from focusing? Since moving to a new area, new ministry and new schooling I’ve had trouble focusing. I feel like I spin around going from thing to thing, not able to focus on any one task at hand. It ends in stress and tears and honestly, not a lot accomplished. I was praying about this the other day and the Lord laid a couple questions on my heart to answer. 1. What causes stress that I could avoid or have control over changing? 2. What circumstances surrounded a time when I felt at peace and could rest my brain and body? 3. What activities encourage refreshment? For me, feeling underprepared causes stress and also mess everywhere causes stress. Those two things are easy for me to control! And in turn, when those things are taken care of, I feel much more calm and peaceful! I know is sounds so simple and kind of a “duh” idea, but it has helped me so much so far! And for the last question, I always feel refreshed after getting outside in the sunshine. I also enjoy when my house is clean and candles are lit and I can sit with a cozy blanket and read a book. Naps can also be incredibly refreshing. While I don’t always have the perfect circumstances (and I always have the Lord’s help to respond properly),I can still find the small things that I know eliminate stress and encourage refreshment! Then, I can choose to do those things to the best of my ability in the small blocks of time God has given me. He created us each so unique so it makes sense that He would have the wisdom to help us when we are feeling frazzled! How about you? I keep coming back and looking at this photo here of Liam and his brother… I’m a person/mother who most of the time will just watch and observe those around me and especially #mysonmyson , after the year and a half we all had due to #covid_19 I look at this as see the exact moment where liam #letitallgo. He is just like #mom the #waterhealing thing is so real for us. He needed to touch it, feel those slight waves from oncoming or passing boats, his #kayakpaddle loosely being held by his limp-relaxed hands. Shoulders slumped, resting head… as if every #stress, every #hardship, every #argument, every #isolated day, every #depressed day he struggled with this past year… the #water & #waves , the slow rocking current that bobbled him in a soothing way that he just let down his posture and took in that exact moment. PLEASE if you’re #struggling w #depression and or anything #dontgiveup , one day— it will be better, I don’t know when, and from my own personal experiences I stopped looking for the “when”. BALANCE... As a work from home mom it can be challenging to “balance” mom life, entrepreneurship, wife life, and keeping the house up. 2021 I have set the goal of being intentional in everything I do: -Phone less family time -Focused work time during nap times -Family days on Sunday -Tidy up a room a day so it doesn’t all pile up -Focused friend time -More quiet time for me to grow mentally I’m not perfect by any means but it feels so much better than trying to do it all without intention or schedules. My week is full of calls, training videos to watch, zoom working hours, zoom 1:1 calls and meetings. Yesterday was my 6th Sunday of unplugging and enjoying the family without social media or having my phone attached to me. I did still check in and cheer my fit club members on! The rejuvenation is amazing even if we end up sitting at home the entire day. Sometimes you realize something really late and it hits you not like one punch, not even 5. No it's gonna burn you inside out. And it feels like you are dying inside your head every day, and then there is still this fire, you got burned by it, but it also keeps you alive.
