L’album “Hidden Tracks: Domodossola – Weissmies” a été entièrement enregistré au long d’une marche entre le petit village Italien et le sommet du Weissmies en septembre 2021. Chaque objet joué a été trouvé sur le chemin et laissé in situ, aucun effet électronique ni traitement sonore n’ont été ajouté. This week in my studio, I have been working on 30cm x 30 cm panel boards. With what lies beneath in mind, I have created these and other abstract landscape works. Pathways and ancient unused tracks are interesting to me and if I see a track, I am always tempted to follow it ! I love the idea that signs from the past can leave shadows and marks on the land for us to ponder over. Also, I recently read The Perfect Golden Circle by Benjamin Myers about two unlikely friends who set about creating crop circles in fields that need to be viewed from above to see the full magnificence of them. Clearly these these ideas have found themselves appearing in my recent pieces.
