Transformation at home usually correlates to some form of transformation of the self. I look back on the projects we have undertaken and the timing that we have chosen to make it happen and like clockwork, some big shift, change, growth, repair cycle was happening in our/ my life. 🤍 Tearing down walls to expose something so beautiful, the old bones of our home, the adobe brick ~ hand built sometime in the 20’s…so what does that say about what’s going on in own healing journey? 🤔🫶🏽 I cried tears of appreciation and disbelief at the same time. More to come…🙏🏼 for now…I’m just going to enjoy the exposure and the vulnerability.

The most TDL of all - the near one hundred year old adobe of Linda and Jerry. We moved back to the Valley in 1990 and opened Tierra a year later. This home has evolved from a sheep ranch in the 1930s to the eclectic hillside haven it is now. Housing decades of treasures collected on @lvanlith47 's worldwide travels - it is a layered love song to more is more. Great week in the Palm Springs area. Not too much time for painting but I was able to do a little sketching in watercolor. The first 2 are from Indian Canyon. The next 3 are in Palm Springs itself. I didn’t have time to sketch in Joshua Tree but sure loved seeing the Joshua Trees in bloom along with many other wildflowers. The best blooms were seen by approaching from the south.
