Mick is 70 years old and worked in hospitals most of his life. He collects Social Security and a small pension, but it is always a struggle to cover the rising costs of rent, food and medical care. I know ✨I✨spend too much time on Instagram, and sometimes I really have to force myself to set the phone down and go touch a cat. If you’re ever feeling down overwhelmed or anxious about life or not measuring up to what you see on social media please understand that you’re fighting an algorithm, and social media is NOT real life. It’s specifically designed to keep you planted on your ass constantly scrolling toxic bullshit (except my page and my affiliates). I also encourage everyone to seek out therapy. I’ve been in and out of therapy for the last 15 or so years. Understand that therapy isn’t a linear experience; you will get a therapist you don’t like, and that’s ok. You can change. You’ll leave therapy and 6 months later go right back. That’s very ok and very normal. Plenty of people are in therapy. It’s ok to talk about it. So if you’re out there struggling, know that people are trained and educated to help you. They’ll help you develop healthy coping mechanisms, cuz, look: things aren’t getting better. The world is (literally) on fire and we’re living in the so-called Best Country™️and it’s run by grifting senior citizens and foreign governments. Gas is like $5/g and The Dollar Menu™️ is extinct.
