❄️ I smiled painting this picture. We had just returned from a pilgrimage to my wife's family in Iowa to catch up with family news. The house is modeled after her grandmother's home in the Okoboji area. The rest is reminiscent of midwest winters: fresh virgin snow after a storm, the cows in the field, pine tree lines, and a stream carving its way through white drifting banks. But what made me smile were the crows gathering in the tree top. When my wife first saw the painting she said: "Ooooh... it looks so peaceful." "You like it?" I replied not missing a beat. "It's a murder. A cold murder." She smiled not knowing what I meant. Ah, well. As plain as it is to see, one does not typically put a murder on display. Wanderings in Delhi Two gorgeous Jacaranda trees in bloom at two different places. Neeli Gulmohar creating its purple magic across the city is Delhi's 'Trees in Bloom Showstopper Event' this time of the year. In the midst of all the hues of reds and yellows these tones of indigo violets steal your heart. Jacaranda mimosifolia is a favourite tree to paint too. I remember some gorgeous Jacs from Chandigarh. The city has some of the finest specimens but our Delhi is no less. Just look at the eye catching view in the first pic. Legend says that If a jacaranda flower drops on your head then it means good fortune. The tree represents wisdom, rebirth, wealth and good luck. "Берегиня" для проекту "Подих акварелі" Берегиня - слав'янська богиня, захисниця дому - жінка с високо піднятими руками , яка бореться зі злом силою свого світла. Це легенда . Таким я бачила цей образ...але в процесі створення , він змінювався сам, від тої, що впала на свою землю до цього варіанта , що виходить з берегів , наче русалка, яка повертається. Поки що у неї ще не той образ з легенди з високо піднятими руками, але від її рук прохають метелики. І колір , сьогодні я їй додала кольору, якого вчора не планувала . Для мене важкий образ, важко підтримувати в себе ті промені світла, коли навколо стільки зла . Акварель 70×50 см І це не остаточна версія )))

House sparrows are a joy to observe. These birds may be tiny but they play a significant role in our ecosystem.
