Here we are another year around the Sun, and you continue to be just as bright, radiant, sassy, and silly as ever. Every year is bittersweet, as I want to continue watching you blossom into the beautiful person you’re meant to be, but at the same time I want you to stay my little mini me forever. #BehindTheScenesWithA - I hugged you a little tighter last night, before I wished you goodnight. I hugged you a little tighter this morning, before I got you up to get ready for school. I hugged you a little tighter, before I let go to have you run to your school bus. I’ll hug you a little tighter later, when you run to me screaming “Mommyyyyy,” coming off the bus. Then I’ll do all of that all over again from now until forever. Every day that goes by has me feeling that time is flying way too fast, the brow of worry deepens, the “how can I protect you, make you feel safe, and have you know how truly loved you are always” lingers longer, and the “am I being strict or doing a good job or doing enough” questions have popped more frequently. The last few weeks have held its ups and downs, and it has me truly reflecting on life, from it being too short for some and way too long for others. Along with those reflections, I’ve been reminded to smooth the worries out, shake the fears away, and just focus on living in the moment. Enjoy and cherish every precious moment, down to the seconds, spent during our earthly time. It’s always been you and I against the world, and my sweet munchkin it’ll stay that way from now to forever. Let’s jump a little higher in the field of flowers. Let’s stomp around in mud and track it everywhere. Let’s laugh a little harder until we’re crying. Let’s dance under the sky, no matter how silly we look.
