“I grew up as a country boy in southern Huron county, OH. With both parents as schoolteachers and a family of 5 kids, growing a huge garden each year and harvesting, picking, freezing, and canning was just a way of life. This is how I learned about the hard work and long hours it took to grow and care for vegetable gardens, fruit trees, etc., including these experiences: • digging onions, carrots, potatoes, and radishes. Picking green/yellow & lima beans, peas, squash, zucchini, sweet corn, cucumbers, and tomatoes • picking strawberries, red raspberries, blackberries, and blueberries • picking apples, pears, plums, rhubarb & more When my wife (Kathy) and I bought a home with a yard large enough, naturally I started my own vegetable garden. In the early years I planted mostly what our kids like the most such as cantaloupe, watermelon, cucumbers, zucchini etc. I always added sweet corn and tomatoes and one year even grew sun flowers so we could feed the birds. Over the next several years I tried and experimented with many ways to cultivate the best hot pepper and smoked product I could make. I now select only the finest in hot pepper vegetable plants and have learned the best way to keep my garden soil moist during hot summers. I also use my own 100% natural composting process to keep my soil nutrient rich. I use only the best smoking chips to deliver the perfect smoke flavor. I also matured the final grinding and blending process that now exists in the current MIG’S Smokin’ Hot Flakes product. Welcome Back to Unique Bottle Serving Trays! We are thrilled to have Debbie Patterson back with us at the Christmas Connection! Debbie has been a vendor for more than 15 years with us! Unique Bottle Serving Trays was established in 2006. Debbie did interior design for 35 years and took that knowledge and started melting and designing bottles. Debbie uses liquor bottles, wine, beer and all kinds of antique glass bottles. Paper labels are removed and reapplied after a 24-hour melting of the glass. I can shape the bottles from flat, slightly curved and bowl shapes. Original corks are reinserted in the top of the bottle and the necks are decorated with hand-wrapped grapes, ribbons, spreaders, and bumpers on the back of the glass for protection. Debbie has been licensed by Ohio State since 2015. Unique Bottle Serving Trays bottles display also includes many sports teams. Debbie also includes custom orders.
