FILM FESTIVAL: China-Malaysia Film Culture Festival To celebrate 50th Anniversary Of China And Malaysia Diplomatic Relations In celebration of the 50th anniversary of China-Malaysia diplomatic relations, the first "China-Malaysia Film Culture Festival" will be held on this 21 June at Dadi Cinema, Pavilion Kuala Lumpur. This coming 31 May 2024 marks the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Malaysia and China. And fully supported by FINAS, the festival aims to promote the works of many Chinese and Malaysian filmmakers into the public eye, promote cultural exchanges and cooperation between the Chinese and Malaysian film industries, and provide film project development and cooperation opportunities in areas such as production, distribution and investment. Xu Kangwen, chairman of the organizing committee of the festival said "I hope this film festival can further promote cultural understanding between China and Malaysia, further promote cooperation between the two parties, and jointly create more exciting works." In addition to the screening of 12 outstanding film works from Malaysia and China, there will also be a special forum and exchange meeting for filmmakers in the four-day festival from 21 - 24 June to exchange ideas, production and experience on Chinese and Malaysian film trends with the industry.
