Public toilets become art. また平山さんに会いに行こう──。 今年の初めに衣山のスクリーンで観た『PERFECT DAYS』が馴染みのシネマルナティック で掛かるということで、これは朗報だ。 上映期間は4/6(土)→4/19(金)まで。 もう観たよっていう紳士な彼も、気になってたけど見逃したっていう淑女の貴女もぜひに。 その映画『PERFECT DAYS』の舞台になった、世界で活躍する16人のクリエイターが手掛けた公共トイレ「THE TOKYO TOILET」を写真家の高橋ヨーコが撮り下ろしてまとめたガイドブックが着岸。 ヴィム・ヴェンダースはこの「THE TOKYO TOILET」を「忙しい東京の中の、静かな場所」と表現したそう。 どのトイレも建築としてアートとして意表を突いたデザインではあるが、不思議と違和感なく東京の風景に馴染んでいる。 先に眺めるのも良し、映画を観終わってから答え合わせを愉しむのも良しな一冊です。 白は日本語版で、青の方は英語版ですが、どちらも掲載画像、内容は変わりません。 お好きな方を(なんなら両方)どうぞ。 店頭とWEBストアにて、お確かめください。
