Development of the E36 began in 1981 and the exterior design was heavily influenced by aerodynamics, specifically the overall wedge shape, headlight covers and smaller wing mirrors. Streets of Willow certainly grew on me after a couple days there. I originally didn't want to respect the track because the average speed is lower than other tracks I frequent. Knowing I had to shed this closed minded thinking, I went to SoW anyway. Having a personal growth mindset allowed me to be receptive to trying the track out. It certainly showed me a thing or two, which then helped me get faster at my favorite, Buttonwillow Raceway. So I've been MIA for a little while due to the fact that the studio where I work is about to lay off a bunch of developers soon. I've been trying to stay frugal and put my hobby on the back burner while I wait to land somewhere new. Unfortunately, the economy right now is shit so jobs are few and far between in my field. Wow, what a weekend! ππ» . Had a blast pushing the killa bee at Buttonwillow Raceway Park! No new PB but was very consistent with my @nexentireusa Sport R and managed to put down 1:59s each session in 80*F ambient, which was a win for me. I also got to meet some cool ass people, give back to the community by instructing brand new drivers, meet the amazing guys from @bimmerworld and managed to snag a podium spot in a field of seven drivers on these @nexentireusa tires from @tpmparts. Iβm not a competitive guy and P3 isnβt anything to brag about, I appreciate the community! . Iβm already thinking about my next track day. The next phase of power mods are starting to take shape. This is part of a plan that I've moved up a bit due to wanting this work done by a shop I trust. Aiming to get this done before my season starts in a few months. Adding in SSv1 headers and a modified 3.5" system to work with the E36 chassis. Going to v-band everything that isn't, for ease of removal in the future. Excited to see the master @jerickjavier21 work his magic.
