A class monitor is a student assigned to assist the teacher in managing the classroom, maintaining discipline, and facilitating communication between students and teachers. Based on these qualities the class monitors were selected. After the monitors were selected, the school community came together for the oath ceremony led by our Principal, Ms. Shameem Singh. The newly appointed monitors took their oath, with heads held high and hearts full of determination, amidst a gathering of peers, and teachers. Students from Grade III-VIII at Shri Ram Global School, Lucknow celebrated Labour Day by embodying the spirit of giving and compassion. Instead of simply commemorating the day, we took tangible action by contributing essential items such as rice, pulses, wheat flour and cucumbers. This act of kindness wasn't just about donating; it was about instilling values of empathy and social responsibility in our students. The donation, totaling 20 kg of rice, 18 kg of pulses (Arhar Dal), 15 kg of wheat flour and 10 kg of cucumbers was collected by the Community Kitchen in Gomti Nagar. These items were collected to be cooked and served to labourers, spreading love and nourishment to those in need. Moreover, this initiative served as a valuable learning opportunity for our students, who actively participated in measuring and organizing the donated items. This activity aligns with Sustainable Development Goal 2 - Zero Hunger, demonstrating our commitment to addressing global challenges through local action, the initiative is a part of SEWA (SOCIAL EMPOWERMENT THROUGH WORK EDUCATION AND ACTION) activity. The body achieves what the mind believes. "The first session of the camp began with Prayer, Jhanda Geet, and the BP exercise. After that all the campers went for a Nature walk. To reinforce the concept of preservation of seeds, a Seed Bomb activity of plantation was conducted by our school gardeners. Young learners were pretty enthusiastic throughout and resolved to take care of the plants and the mother planet. The One-day camp included numerous adventure activities like commando obstacle crossing and tug of war. The activities equipped the students with the skills of team building, confidence, and endurance Cooking without fire, a group competition was organized to make the children aware of nutritious food and the importance of nutrients in the diet. What an incredible experience! Today, the CPA Horticulture students from Mrs. Brownett's class embarked on a journey to St. Rose Grammar School, where they had the pleasure of visiting Ms. Sullivan's and Mrs. Westhoven's 4th-grade classes. The atmosphere was filled with excitement and curiosity as each student was paired up to delve into the fascinating world of the Rainforest. The 4th graders proved to be excellent guides, showcasing their knowledge with eloquence and enthusiasm. They led the horticulture students through a captivating exploration of the Rainforest, sharing insights and facts that left everyone in awe. It was truly remarkable to witness the passion and confidence with which these young learners conveyed their understanding of such a complex ecosystem. Overall, the involvement of the high schoolers undoubtedly helped them prepare for their parents and others to visit. It's a testament to the power of collaboration and the value of learning from one another across different age groups. The final song was truly captivating leaving the high schoolers humming and singing all the way back which speaks volumes about the impact of the experience they had at St. Rose Grammar School.
