It’s to die for and we can’t keep this flavor in stock! Fun fact, I first tried passion fruit while visiting my uncle on Maui, he has a whole tree in his backyard. My aunt Tova made a birthday cake for her mom with all their “lilikoi” and it was out of this world delicious. We ate the whole thing. IT'S FINALLY HAPPENING! The grand opening of the new Kenmore space is happening NEXT WEEKEND. And no I did NOT intentionally open on 4/20. I actually wanted to open this weekend but I knew that was too ambitious. It's been a LONG journey to get to this point. If you want to read the timeline here it is: January 17th 2023 - toured the space and was immediately freaked out by the amount of work it was going to take to revamp it. Plus I was 31 weeks pregnant, and had my daughter 3 weeks later. April 17th 2023 - I had been thinking about the space in my head since I toured it and questioned whether or not to put an offer in. So we revisited it again, my daughter being only 9 weeks old and we decided to go for it! July 19th 2023 - We signed the lease! Yes it took that long for lease negotiations. January 8th 2024 - Construction began March 30-31st 2024 - Moved out of Kirkland bakery completely. April 5th - Construction completed April 10th - Passed Health Department inspection (with flying colors) April 20th - Grand Opening Day. The amount of emotional breakdowns and anxiety I have had about this space...I can't even count. But my husband has been there every step of the way and this 1000% would not be possible without him. He has been my biggest fan and supporter. He was the one who put together all of the plans for the space and helped construction move along. Without him, this space would have never gotten off the ground. Thank you honey for making my dreams come true. Now I am just praying that people will show up. And until then, I will have bakery stress dreams every night until opening day. SO PLEASE COME EVERYONE!! . . #seatownsweets #loveseatown

Now I am reluctant to post this photo because I know I am going to get customer's requesting "cupcake cakes" and I want to be clear -- I am not going to do it.-- This was purely for fun for my daughter's birthday and it was practically a hot mess disaster but it is just too stinking cute to NOT share. What you can't see underneath all that buttercream are the stacked cupcakes. To create a ski slope, it went from one cupcake to two...three and yup I went big so FOUR stacked cupcakes in the top back row, held in place with straws so they wouldn't completely topple over. (And they practically did...) The custom cake topper I ordered from my girl Danielle at Pomp & Revel who made this adorable custom ski slope sign. Initially, I wanted to put it on the actual smash cake, but I knew my daughter wouldn't eat the cake if that was on top. Additionally, I had these custom cake toppers made from Etsy with Madalyn's face superimposed on them. When your mom is a professional baker, you're going to have the coolest cakes for your birthday. ⛷️Starting off year one with this alpine skier themed smash cake for my daughter's first birthday. I made edible chocolate skiers with @WiltonCakes black melts and hand piped them over a template and added rainbow jimmy sprinkles for the "skis" and "snowboards." Then using a star #18 tip I piped little green trees which she absolutely loved picking off the cake one by one. This past summer, my friend BreeAnn and I took a backpacking trip where I did my first night away from my daughter Madalyn. On the way down, BreeAnn - being the expert party planner that she is - started me on the topic of "what is the theme for Madalyn's first birthday." And we talked this and that, but I said to her, "it's a winter birthday so it would be cool if it was somehow ski theme." And then BOOM - the theme came into fruition, Madalyn's First Run! Like a ski run! And while she didn't hit the slopes this year, you better be sure she will next season (and hopefully we will have more snow.) We celebrated her birthday this past week and you bet she smashed the crap out of her cake.
