#Soleworkz FMI journalist Russell and Ivan. So, what happened to Flavor Magazine when Khadijah ran away with Scooter? Well a quick phone call while at the airport and she promoted none other than man with the accent that makes Regine shimmy. His first act? Giving our boy Ivan more freedom to chase different stories. At the close of the 90’s Russell had leads and broke stories on up and coming artists and groups such as City High, this young singer named Mario, the rise of Lil Wayne. Nina Sky and although not confirmed, he claims he and Sean Paul are distant cousins. Mean while, Ivan had big dreams of taking journalism to a broader landscape so Flavor Magazine wouldn’t fall behind like so many publications. Chasing a lead at the World Trade Center, his contact was a no show. Walking away from ground zero, Ivan happened to look up to see the first plane crash into the towers. Horrified he quickly shifted into taking pictures, not of the wreckage or destruction, but of the brave men and women running into the cloud and screams. He snapped picks of people helping people, the strength of humanity on full display. September 11th changed Ivan. Now that Khadijah was back, he was asked to comeback and help Russell restructure the new FMI. He said he would comeback after his 3 month tour in Iraq. Ivan, armed with nothing more than a camera traveled to a combat zone to share with the world the experience of war. Ivan’s new passion is showing the world his view, and sharing other people’s stories, their struggles, their victories. He has won several awards for his photography and stories. Russel DID try and attempt to break a story about an alleged Bad Boy artist taking the fall for a club shooting by sneaking into Puff Daddy’s party. In his own words, “‘twas some funny business going on dare!” so he bounced. These 2 have been pillars of FMI and holding things down for Khadijah and helping her adapt and keep up with the changing times.

After a big hug, a little crying and a Woo Woo Woo Regine was back. Before leaving, a phone call from Max still in the hospital after giving birth to Kyla Barker. She was calling to ask her to be her daughter’s Godmother. Regine is one of the few in the group to challenge The Maverick and she definitely respects that. Now in the present the power couple of R&D inc has been using their wealth and influence in various ventures from attempting to buy BET to funding Max’s campaign for President. Even working on a TV pilot with a working title “Living Single “ #livingsingle

While Scooter was navigating being in the changing music industry of the 2000’s he came across a shockingly similar looking actress who also was looking to get back into the business. The Queen returns, her love letter to HipHop and Remix to UNITY was a great hit putting Scooter in very good positions. Now feeling like he made it, is fully committed to helping his actual Queen keep this new media venture fresh. Scooter being her source in the music industry, Regine being her “IN” with Network TV, and the Barker-Shaw family being major supporters of the new joint venture Flavor Multimedia Inc. FMI.
