It’s taken a bit to process so I haven’t posted about the camping trip yet. But we went up camping in Oregon on Wednesday and had planned to stay till Saturday. All that changed when little miss @miley_weathers and @deagen96 hit each other head on while riding the dirt bikes Friday afternoon. I had given my phone to @asweathers to take pictures and I was giving Georgia a ride on the four wheeler when Deagen runs over to tell me they had wrecked. As soon as I got over there I realized it was a bad one. Miss Miley did not buckle her helmet on (please remember to check your kiddos before they get on to ride) we should’ve double checked every time but they’re 12 and 13 they know to do that. So her helmet cam off when she wrecked and when I walked up she was completely unresponsive. As soon as my sister saw me walk up she said she checked out that in her mind Because she was scared I was going to handle it. (We are extremely close and this situation just reminded us how we calm each other in situations there’s a safety we feel with each other we feel with no one else) so quickly I had to tell her to shut up and go get her vehicle so we could get Miley in it. There’s no service for about 15 miles where we were camping so we got her in the back of the car still unconscious and Amanda drove till there was service and got an ambulance to meet her at the end of the trask. All of my kids watched this scene. Amanda didn’t need to be driving but we had 6 kids at camp that couldn’t be left because the guys where in town at the time. After they left I got the bike up and we all stood around it and prayed for Miley! They took her to Tillamook hospital but she was still pretty unresponsive verbally so OHSU sent life flighted to get her and as soon as she got to OHSU she started responding a little more and we had hopes she’s be out of there that night. They got her to get up and go pee with assistance and as soon as she laid back down she went unresponsive for another 4 hours. The CT scan showed no damage so they didn’t know what is going on so she stayed till Saturday night. And I wanted my littles to see that she was ok they thought she died! Such a scary episode!
