The Amarillo Speed Bowl was a clay track that had retaining wall that was dirt that apparently would catch drivers and drag them right into it. This one was a difficult one to figure out but doing the reading up on it was quite rewarding and educational. This is on the north side of Amarillo which is now a TNT Fireworks Ammo Depot. So two pulled up so we went to both, Amarillo Texas Route 66 Visitor Center was closed however, Texas Ivy antiques which also pops up as a Route 66 Visitor Center was open with a very kind sweet lady and took pictures of our car and was all excited about all the lemons that are going to be coming through.
