It's a HUGE change in their life. this new little being has just taken their limelight and time from their parents/grandparents etc... It's OK... After many years of photographing pregnancy and newborns, I have found that a mini maternity session is the perfect way to complement a newborn session and tell the story of this wonderful journey. WHEN IS THE BEST TIME TO BOOK? There is no exact time that you 'have' to have newborn photos but if you love the the sleepy, curly poses I am known for then it's generally best within the first two weeks of baby arriving. For that reason, it is advised that you book in advance whilst you are still pregnant (to avoid missing out). Generally the second trimester is a good time to book. I will book you in for your due date and confirm your session date once baby arrives. Some families like to wait an until their baby is a little older, this is fine too, just know that babies will be more wakeful and we just don't aim for the sleepy, curly poses. The sessions are always led by the baby. Siblings and immediate family are included in the session as it’s such a beautiful time to celebrate family. WHAT IS THE BEST TIME FOR NEWBORN PHOTOS? In general we say the best time for newborn photos is within the first 2-3 weeks of arrival. However, if your babe is a bit older or you haven't booked in prior to baby arriving, don't stress we will still get beautiful images of your baby.
