Capturing this gorgeous little family on a hot autumn night. 🏖️ It can get a little fast paced and crazy with little ones and parents will often wonder if we capture many good ones. I know we have to move quick with little ones otherwise we loose them and they are done - especially down the beach when there's so much more fun to be had. Did you know I love to photograph families for life? Every age and stage❤️ maternity, newborn, babies, school age, teenagers, older adult kids and extended families. (I just don't do weddings) Extended families are lovely. Really what do you get your parents and grandparents sometimes? Often it's been years since they've had a professional family shoot... so to bring everyone together is quite fun. We do lots of little groupings, siblings together, grandparents on their own, and with grandchildren, each little family group can have a little family update. SHARE WITH ME During pregnancy, some women aren't really into specific foods, while others suddenly have these intense cravings that make them or their partner go, "Whoa, who even are you?" It's pretty crazy how you can suddenly start wanting something you never really cared about before. My cravings were: #1 Banana paddlepops #2 Cheese/gherkin sandwiches #3 Spider Drinks (coke with icecream) and lasagne and gravy (but not together hehe) for all three of my babies Scientists don't know why pregnancy cravings happen, but they have a couple of ideas. One idea is that the hormones during pregnancy might mess with this thing called Neuropeptide Y, which has to do with appetite. But some researchers think it might be more psychological. I'm curious to hear about your own pregnancy cravings. A little OUT OF THE BOX for me. But a cute little family to make it happen. I'm normally out in nature with the textures of grasses and shrubbery, trees or beaches. 6 weeks old... he did a fabulous job. We got some gorgeous awake images but also still managed some sleepy poses. All round we have a beautiful gallery of photos with a variety to choose from. The spring weather can be so unpredictable and plays havoc with a photographers schedule (if only we had a crystal ball for the weather)... On the weekend we left it until a few hours before to see if we should go ahead. Winds were predicted to die down but you never really know until you get there.... lucky this family were pretty cruisey and happy to see what it was like.. When we arrived it was still a bit breezy but we went ahead knowing we'd just have to wait for some wind 'gusts' to pass, the sun even popped out and wasn't too bad in the end... Thanks guys.. EXTENDED FAMILY SHOOTS! We snuck this shoot in on Monday night before the crazy storm hit. We were certainly lucky - I think only an hour or two later the storm kicked in. So we were lucky.. one of these lovely families is moving overseas so we needed to do this. Generally a lot of people and kids and I work fast, especially when kids aren't very old. There's a lot more different groupings, I generally try to photograph all the individual families, the big group shots, the kids etc...
