Visitando le centrali del territorio potreste aver visto le turbine Riva&Monneret (qui, nella centrale idroelettrica del Linificio Canapificio Nazionale di Fara Gera d'Adda). Ma qual è la storia di questa azienda? L'impresa viene fondata da Alberto Riva nel 1884, a cui pochi anni dopo si affiancò l'ingegnere Ugo Monneret de Villard. La produzione di turbine idrauliche iniziò nel 1889 con l'acquisizione dell'opificio meccanico Galimberti e C. Nel 1896 alla Riva viene commissionata la fornitura delle turbine per la centrale idroelettrica Edison poi intitolata ad Angelo Bertini, allora in costruzione. Si tratta di una sfida tecnologica importante: nessuno in Italia aveva mai costruito turbine di quelle dimensioni e potenza. L'allora "Ing. A. Riva, Monneret & C." si afferma così come il principale produttore di turbine per impianti idroelettrici in Italia e non solo: a sancire il prestigio dell'azienda giunge commessa di due turbine Francis di 3.000hp per l'impianto sulle cascate del Niagara della Cataract Power di Hamilton. Nel 1964, a seguito della fusione con l'azienda meccanica bolognese Calzoni, nasce la Riva Calzoni. ATB Riva Calzoni recently delivered a new HDS Reactor made of Vanadium modified steel, destined to Rayong Refinery, owned by IRPC Public Company in Thailand. The 450 ton reactor, licensed by TOPSOE and manufactured by ATB, seats at the core of the Hydrodesulphurization Unit as part of the Ultra Clean Fuel (UCF) project which aims to improve refining efficiency and upgrade diesel quality in compliance with Euro V standards. We are very pleased to announce the commissioning of new stoplogs for Saint Pierre de Boeuf Dam, France. The Compagnie Nationale de Rhône assigned to ATB Riva Calzoni the design, fabrication, delivery and installation on-site of this 7 stoplogs, approximately 20 meters wide each, to allow the maintenance of the radial gate. Il reattore è stato consegnato nei tempi previsti e raggiungerà presto il nuovo impianto in costruzione in Messico. Progettato con una configurazione a due stack, questo enorme reattore in acciaio a bassa lega è stato prodotto attraverso una speciale sequenza di fabbricazione, che prende in considerazione la peculiare disposizione interna del processo. Con una capacità di 340.000 barili al giorno, il progetto, in costruzione sulla costa di Tabasco, nel sudest del Paese, è stato fortemente voluto dal presidente messicano Andrés Manuel López Obrador ed è tra i principali investimenti strategici previsti dal Plan Nacional de Refinación, approvato nel 2018 dal governo con l’obiettivo di ridurre la dipendenza del Messico dalle importazioni di carburante. Samsung Engineering, titolare del contratto di ingegneria, approvvigionamento e costruzione (EPC) si è aggiudicata due lotti, nei quali rientrano i due reattori di idrotrattamento a gasolio commissionati ad ATB, da circa 1000 tonnellate ciascuno. «Questi pressure vessels sono le apparecchiature più complesse della futura unità di produzione di carburante (diesel) a basso contenuto di zolfo della raffineria di Dos Bocas» —ha spiegato Francesco Squaratti, direttore commerciale della divisione equipaggiamento pesante di ATB. El reactor fue entregado a tiempo y pronto llegará al nuevo complejo en construcción en México. Diseñado con una configuración de 2 pilas, este enorme reactor de acero de baja aleación se produjo a través de una secuencia de fabricación especial, que tiene en cuenta la disposición interna única del proceso. Con una capacidad de 340 mil barriles por día, el proyecto, que se construye en la costa de Tabasco, en el sureste del país, cuenta con el fuerte respaldo del presidente mexicano, Andrés Manuel López Obrador, y es una de las principales inversiones estratégicas previstas en el “Plan Nacional de Refinación”, aprobado en 2018 por el gobierno con el objetivo de reducir la dependencia de México de las importaciones de combustibles. The commissioning of the Penstock, with an internal diameter of 10 m and a total length of about 625 m, is planned by the end of 2021.
