I LOVE a creative portrait session. This photo was taken as a part of a series of photos I took for a #madetomakechallenge with @marinawphoto 's Patreon community. In the span of about 40 minutes, I did my 16 year old step-daughter's make-up and we jumped in our pool. What is one thing that your child loves to do because they know it has such a positive impact on them? For my son, swimming has been a godsend. Three times a week, even after a long day of school, even when he feels tired and dysregulated (or maybe because of it), he knows that feeling the moving water on the skin, blocking the noise above the water, making stroke after stroke after stroke, and going full steam ahead for 40 minutes, will get him back to being centered enough so that he can keep on learning and growing. Kids grow up fast. Time is getting more and more precious. I can help you freeze time.
