SOLD Gibson Custom Shop M2M '60 Aged Lemonburst - 3,8 kgs Amazing example of a fairly uncommon Aged Custom Shop RO from 2012, this one has a handpicked top, very deep and with tons of movement from every angle and dark rosewood fretboard The Aged Lemonburst finish looks how Lemonburst should on a Les Paul, not too green, not too orange. The metal parts have a different aging than the regular VOS format, it's more authentic up close in my opinion. Condition is immaculate, no fret wear, nothing... The guitar plays like a dream and sounds huge (but with definition and chimey highs). At first I thought on exchanging the original Burstbucker pickups, as l became a fan of Custombuckers. But I have to say that it sounds amazing as it is and I changed my mind, I think it would do the instrument a demerit. I don't know if they are exactly the same Burstbuckers from Gibson USA, but I can say that they don't sound anything like the ones I had passed by me. SOLD Brand new M2M custom ordered '68 Les Paul Custom. Selected lightweight at 3,9kgs, custom "Light Aging" with lots of weather checking and just the right amount of wear on the lacquer, rolled edges on the binding (body and neck), custom color "Lamp Black" which to my eyes looks more like the vintage ones, with a less blue black, yellowed bindings, nickel saddles instead of the nylon ones. The guitar is a joy to play, it feels much snappier than regular all mahogany customs due to the maple top, the neck is a perfect "C" shape and is among the most comfortable l've tried. It is an extremely lightweight Les Paul (let alone for a Custom), it's super loud and resonant unplugged and full of character and bite. Plugged in the '68 Custombuckers sound great, they have that woody sound, very open and sensitive, they differ from regular Custombukers by having a slight different texture when paired with more drive, they seem to push a valve amp a bit harder, while maintaining a vintage output and texture, I was very surprised by them and I believe I prefer them to the stock Custombuckers now. Condition is brand new, no fret wear whatsoever. I’ve found these PAFs to be more transparent and growly than the standard Custombuckers, the neck is much more open and the bridge is full bodied. The roundness to the higher frequencies and the slight change in the midrange are spotlighted by the nylon saddles for sure. They read from 7.2 to 7.8 and sound very open and woody. It would be great to see these Custombuckers being offered separately at Gibson’s shop. ‘63 Gibson SG Custom 2022 - 3,6 kgs Good Sunday to all! These can sometimes sound brittle at the bridge and somehow too midrangy and wooly at the neck in my experience, so on this one there was a set of pickups specifically designed by @kloppmannelectrics to compensate for that. The wiring harness was remade using VIP with different measurements between neck and bridge as well. The ABR-1 was replaced with a @kissmystrings Zamac model, I find that the round up the higher frequencies while emphasizing the sustain.
