May 1, 2024 10:22pm - The Power of Prayer I’m posting these two photos as symbols of the power of PRAYER. The first one was taken two years ago today, May 1, 2022, when Scarlett was two days old. She was in the incubator and we were not able to hold her in our arms yet. Backstory (shortened) - February 2022,, Perinatal doctors told us there was a chance her mother would not make it to full term with her. We PRAYED. Then we were told, once I cut the umbilical cord, there would be a chance she would not survive. We PRAYED. We were then told that there was a good chance she would not live through the week. We PRAYED. Then they told us based on her genetic disorder, there was a 98% mortality rate; basically 98% of babies born with the same disorder don’t live long enough to see their first birthday. We PRAYED! Two days ago, (incase you haven’t been following the posts) Scarlett turned two years old and we celebrated her strength and resiliency in her hospital room. Today she had her fourth surgery since March 11, 2024 and is doing well in recovery by the grace of God. This is a testimony to the power of PRAYER. We praise God and give him the glory for the miracle baby he blessed us with. We also thank everyone who PRAYED for her wellness.
