What helps your natural lashes to keep them healthy and strong? Besides a good application from your lash artist without putting much weight, you do need these few things to help them grow longer and stronger. 1.- Lash shampoo: is important for you to wash your lashes DAILY to keep their health, improve retention and avoid allergies. 2.- Lash serum: some of us were not gifted with lot and long natural lashes, but don’t worry! This little guy comes to help 😉 3.- Consume biotin, collagen or some kind of vitamins to help you grow or keep natural lash health. 4.- Avoid stress: I don’t have to tell you how stress affects our lashes and body. Is a no no. 5.- Improve quality sleep: 😴 is really important to balance our hormones and improve natural health. 6.- Eyeliner: using the right eyeliner while wearing eyelash extensions is really important to improve retention. Ask your lash artist for the perfect one. 7.- Bottom mascara: is important to not use water proofs mascara on your bottom lashes due to transfer to upper lashes on every blink 😉and is hard to remove it. Spring is here bringing more sun (vitamin D) meaning our lashes are going through shedding and faster growth. Why does this happen? Well, let me explain it to you this way... The main job our lashes are doing is protecting our eyes (even tho we put extensions and makeup on them lol ). They grow more and faster to protect them from the sun ... and they also go thru shedding after summer bc the sun is gone... have you ever noticed your lashes growing faster after vacation? Yup that’s the main reason esspecially here up north, people living in a stable climate like hawaii don’t go thru a dramatic shedding in spring. Please book your appointments accordingly!!! Tips while having lash extensions: 💥WASH YOUR LASHES!! I won’t stop telling my clients that extensions do not stick on dirty natural lashes (this is really important) also it helps keep natural lashes health and allergies away. 💥Do not use other eyeliner that is not liquid and water based. 💥Book your touch ups ahead of time and do not miss any appointment. 💥Stay away from the heat (oven, bbqs, etc) 💥Use a silk pillow case or eye mask. 💥DO not sleep on your face.
The texture or wispy look. 👀 . When my clients want wispy lashes, I go for this look or a little more natural. I honestly don’t like to put spikes or closed fans bc you won’t look good in 3 weeks (until touch up time) lashes don’t pick where exactly they are gonna fall off and if you lose spikes on only one eye or uneven, pretty sure you will look (cough cough) weird 🤪 What do you think... let’s do it more wispy or this look is ok ?

How can you improve your retention ? None of my clients have retention issues but let me tell you couple things to do and help you with retention... 💕avoid using to much eyeliner - the only eyeliner you can use is the liquid eyeliner water base (no waterproof) plz its a big no-no to use those pencil eyeliners like 🖍 crayon... why? Because is like a wax hard to remove. 💕avoid spray hair products or makeup on lashes: this can make your fans close and look bad. 💕 the most important is WASH YOUR LASHES once a day! Make it a night routine after you remove your makeup 💄 Remember, I need really clean lashes to give you the best retention ever 😉

Why I should brush my lashes? Besides of improving retention... When you brush your extensions, you can help to remove any dust, pollen, oils, or eye makeup that may accumulate on the lashes throughout the day. Brushing dislodges those particles more effectively than your daily wash and rinse, preventing buildup over time. Daily brushing can remove bacteria that could cause irritation of the eyes or even infection. Brushing is also an important part of your overall lash maintenance routine. When you brush each day, you can help to keep your lashes and extensions from becoming tangled, bent, or unkempt. That will ensure that you maintain their aesthetic appeal. Naturally, you need to know how to brush properly. These tips can help: Always use a clean lash brush or mascara wand to avoid transferring bacteria to the eyes. Brush from the middle of the extension to the end of the lash. Never start at the base, since that could result in the brush pulling the extension out. Do this at least once a day specially when they are dry 😉

This beautiful client came for a really natural looking set of lash extensions (her first time ) only for her wedding but now she is hooked 😉 She is a busy mom, wife and realtor who needs to look always ready to go and lashes give her that 😍
At this time of the year the body starts to shed some of its hair and you will start to notice this with retention suffering, less natural lashes, sets may look less full, lashes thinning out and maybe some bald spots but don’t worry ... this is only for few weeks and it is normal (we can’t fight with Mother Nature ) . . Why does this happen? We grow more hair during summer months to protect us from the hot sun and ultraviolet radiation. Come autumn 🍂 this additional growth is no longer required and therefore our hair sheds. This is also seen in animals too. (My dog is shedding like crazy 😩) . . How can we deal with this ? - Schedule your appointments accordingly or more often. - Your lash artist should reduce the thickness of the extensions since the lashes will be thinner and lots of new anagens or baby lashes coming. - This will balance out after a few weeks and this is the best time to use a lash serum (I have the best at the studio ) Are you on fall shedding yet ?
Natural lashes grow out and shed 1-5 a day, this is why you need a touch up every 2-3 weeks 🧐. Besides applying extensions on new lashes, your lash artist will remove all the old extensions from the grow out lashes and replace them for new ones, this takes time so make sure you book enough time for it 😉 Do you prefer to book every 2 weeks or 3 weeks ? Here are a few tips to keeping your lash extensions looking fabulous all Summer long: 😎 1) Rinse your lashes (& pat dry) after Swimming. 🏊♀️ Over time, both chlorine & salt water can affect lash retention. So, whether you are swimming in a pool, lake or the Ocean, we recommend rinsing with fresh water or better wash them with your lash shampoo. 2) Avoid direct/extreme heat near your lashes. 🔥 Exposing your lashes to extreme heat can “relax” the curl, or even worse…singe the lashes! When grilling or snuggling up next that toasty campfire or opening the oven make sure not to stand too close or directly over the heat. 3) Summer = increased activity & exercise = more sweat. It’s pretty impossible to run around in the sun and not sweat. Sweat carries natural oils from your skin, that can run into your eyes, and affect lash retention so wash your lashes often. 4) Keeping your lashes clean! Being outside more – camping, hiking, swimming, etc- can lead to increased dirt & debris collecting in your lashes. We recommend keeping them clean by using our lash cleanser and super gentle cleansing brush to thoroughly clean them regularly. 5) Sunscreen application. We believe in Sunscreen! It is an absolute MUST for all of your favorite Summer activities. However, it is important to keep in mind that many brands of Sunscreen contain oils, which when running onto the lashes, can lead to excessive shedding. We recommend taking extra care when applying your SPF, avoiding the eye area, and allowing it to fully soak in before swimming or sweating. 6) lashes grow faster on summer so it is important to visit chuchy more often than usual for your appointments 😎
