The Baue Family Charitable Trust’s John Devaney was named this year’s St. Charles County Tree of Lights chair, the fourth generation of the family member in the county to take a leadership or advisory position with The Salvation Army. See the “News and Stories” section in our bio to read the whole Q&A with Devaney. Devaney’s great-grandfather, Arthur C. Baue, was part of the group that opened the first St. Charles corps, all the way back in September 1958. He had been a part of its service extension unit locally for 20 years before that. His trust gave $10,000 to the St. Charles County’s Tree of Lights campaign at the annual St. Charles County Tree of Lights luncheon, held on Nov. 9 at Old Hickory Golf Course in O’Fallon. This year’s fundraising goal is $725,000. #Baue #BaueFamilyCharitableTrust #StCharlesCounty #TreeOfLights #SalArmy #SalArmyTOL
