Here are my first batch of images from the beta Chroma Click. This first roll was Kentmere 400, shot using the half frame insert. I developed it myself in DD-X, and digitised with my Lumix S5, Pentax manual focus 50mm macro, and Pixl-latr. Magnification is a bit less than 1:1 so these are not super-high resolution. As you can see, I've not spent much/any time cleaning up the images for dust etc. and there's a cat in the house...! There are also some marks on the film from poor handling/drying 😫. I've picked some of the cleaner frames to share today - with 72 frames to go through I've decided against painstakingly spotting dust etc. so just note that these artifacts are representative of my processing not the camera itself. Despite the low resolution of these camera scans and chunk of the film grain, you can see that the #doubleglass lens is capable of recording fine detail with good contrast. The Click has an invaluable indicator to show the appropriate frame spacing for both half and full frame. I'm tempted to try an overlapping panorama on a future roll... I've also finished a roll of Kodak Ultramax 400 (shot full frame) which will be processed and scanned hopefully this week. I've been having a lot of fun shooting with the beta Click. Steve (he IS Chroma Camera) is constantly refining the design of the Click alongside his other projects, so the Click that makes it into production will be even better.
