Berlin Healthcare - The Urban Dentist Feel-Good-Faktor statt Fluchtreflex Wir haben uns sehr gefreut, als 2017 die jungen Zahnärzte Mohammed Alef, Sang-Ji Kim und Venelina Dimitrov und Gründer von The Urban Dentist @theurbandentistberlin Kontakt mit uns aufnahmen. Sie wollten in der Gestaltung ihrer neuen Praxis weg vom gängigen sterilen Einheitsstil hin zu einer zukunftsweisenden Raumatmosphäre mit eigenem Charakter. Friederike Bienstein von der AIT @aitmagazine schrieb damals: „Um negative Gedanken an den bevorstehenden Zahnarztbesuch also von vornherein auszuschalten, Ängste zu eliminieren und positive Assoziationen zu verstärken, bediente sich studio karhard bei der Praxisgestaltung ähnlicher Mittel wie bei einem Concept Store oder einer Bar. Registrierung, Wartebereich, Vorbereitung und Behandlung wurden in wenigen, ungewöhnlichen, wertigen Materialwelten zum Ausdruck gebracht: Eine skulpturale Bartheke aus dunklem Terrazzo ersetzt den in Arztpraxen sonst üblichen Rezeptionstresen. Eine gefaltete, transparente, teilweise farbige Glasspiegelwand separiert ganz subtil die Arbeitsplätze der administrativen Mitarbeiter. Transforming a classic industrial space in Berlin-Kreuzberg into a loft apartment for a family of five,providing sufficient privacy without detracting from the open, generous feeling of the space. The core of this conversion, therefore, is a set of wooden boxes that were placed as house-in-house constructions within the 240-square-metre loft. The entrance is a completely open space containing the kitchen island, dining and living areas. Together we enhance spaces with simple and artful finishes, while also modernizing with a mix of hand selected furniture and decoration. We have worked on new-builds, small lofts, and taken older homes and spaces into today! Together, we have experience with residential and commercial interiors, home staging, art installs, and film set designs. We are an all-fem-led design firm, partnering with eco-friendly and socially-conscious manufacturers, suppliers, as well as local artists.
