🕺🏻Happy International Dance Day💃🏼 • One of my favorite days since I dance for a living and know a lot of friends and colleagues that do the same! May we dance today, tomorrow, and until we just can’t boogie no more! l• I’ve been dancing my entire life - since I can remember. I took my first Zumba class at the of 9, which led me to dancing almost every day. At 11 I became the youngest licensed zumba instructor in the world! I enrolled in a studio and began taking hip hop and some modern classes at the age 13. By 15 I was doing musical theatre which got me doing ballet and modern. At the same time I also began teaching Zumba classes. By 18, I started college and decided to drop out and pursue my career as a Zumba Instructor in the hopes of becoming an international instructor and a figure in the zumba world. Sure enough by 21, I had my first opportunity and the rest is history. By 27 I had traveled the world; taught classes in every continent (except Antarctica) and had made my dreams come true. At 31, I’m still dancing and loving every minute of it. • Dance is my passion. It makes me feel invincible, free, connected and powerful. I feel the music with every ounce of my being. It’s saved me from the darkest of places and taken me to the most beautiful places. • I post this video of my 2017 Queen Bey Experience 15-Minute performance at the 2017 Zumba Instructor Convention - which was my first time presenting my own session, second time doing the Zumba Fitness Concert and what really made my career take off. • I chose the music and pieced it together with @djgringo, choreographed every second, chose the outfits, hand picked my team and it all came together to be the highlight of my entire career. • Shout out to the best team: @_tamararoy_ #Kamarie @alina_dumazumba @joserodriguez.zj @themixwithshawni @paparobzi @_brenda_esparza_2 • My homage to Beyoncé, a preview of my sessions to come and my staple at ZINCON.
